lemonTree creations is workshopping a new work in residency at Theatre Passe Muraille called: THE BLOOD CYCLE written by Indrit Kasapi, directed by Cole Alvis, choreographed and assistant directed by William Yong. The Blood Cycle tells the story of three siblings looking for a way out of a 27-year long blood feud between two families disputing land ownership. This work is inspired by the ancient custom of blood-taking (gjakmarrja), a practice of law enforcement in remote parts of Northern Albania. It is an exploration in story driven text and non-linear contemporary dance.
We are seeking 2 performers (18-mid 30s ~ male, female and/or gender nonconforming) with considerable movement/dance experience as well as
strong ability with text and character work. We are looking for performers who possess training and/or experience in dance and acting.
lemonTree welcomes submissions from all artists particularly those who identify as culturally diverse. The auditions will take place at Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace. The venue is wheelchair accessible, however there are no push buttons on the doors (including the bathrooms).

Both Union and Non-Union performers are welcome to submit. CAEA Members cast in this workshop will be engaged under an Equity Contract as per the Independent Theatre Agreement Workshop rates.
